Your comment has had me smiling all day long. Can't tell you how much I enjoyed it.
I haven't seen I (heart) Huckabees but would like to now. I just watched Kingdom of Heaven and must say I really enjoyed it. I believe I will have to write a haiku on something along those lines.
I have news for you, guy, you are very lucky that I no longer accept proposals of marriage from someone I've just met sight unseen. Boy, we're a pair.
I find your none haiku very interesting....Sandy, rolling eyes, shrugging white feminine shoulders, waving petite hands in the air, a la Leslie Caron...why, monsieur, are you saying you are going to tickle me with your aunts feather on her table in the garden, oui?
Oh, I love it whenever I enlighten someone especially when they get dizzy in the process. I can understand why might have to stop reading it. ha!
You take care yourself, dracul. Love you. It's been a joy.

dracul,
Yes, I would think that most poets attempting to write haiku would try to reach for the example basho set in his wonderful haiku.
If my haiku entered into your head, then I would say I have accomplished my goal with this haiku.
Sigh, I must confess that I am disappointed that you're not John Trivolta. Not really, I prefer that we be who we really are...whoever that may be?
I am strange? That's one of the nicest compliments I think I've ever received.
Thank you

dracul,
In my opinion there is nothing worse than a western haiku made to sound like an eastern one.
Oh look, lotus bloom
floating on sound of water
making one dizzy
I think of haiku as saying as much as I can with an economy of words yet making the reader feel what is being said.
I do like the zen aspect of the haiku but other than that mine are western at least I hope so.
You followed 5 7 5 on your haiku, very good.
I see you have a very dry sense of humor, I like that.
The french? Yes, I love the French very much. I just wish I understood the language.
Ha, dracul,
