Going Out To Eat
Walking out the door he says "we'll go at noon...I'll give you a call." I jump up and start getting dressed so I'll be ready when he calls. The dog gets excited because he senses we are getting out of the house today. Noon comes and goes...no call. I carry the phone around with me everywhere I go so I will not miss his call. 1:00, 2:00, 3:00...still no call. Thirty eight years of waiting for calls that will not come. One day I will learn his word means nothing.

very sad but yet great.
you are growing, at least your site content... or it's just my computer behaves weird on your site
Thank you very much, Ricardas, I hope it is not your computer. My friend told me the other day that the font looked too big on my site but when I look at it, it's fine. I hope you are not having the same problem.
It seems we're having similar problems - your site with MS explorer
is really showing too big fonts (my is loosing colors) but with mozilla firefox everything looks just fine.
That is just what my friend said...my font is too big. I haven't checked on Explorer but will do that now. As you say on Mozilla everything looks just fine.
Thanks for getting back to me on this issue, Ricardas.
Perfect!!!!!!!! This should be published somewhere.
I love haibun. I love writing them, too.

Thank you very much, Andrew. Actually, this was my first attempt at haibun and I really enjoyed doing it. I'm looking forward to writing more of them.
you are a natural, sandy. i hope you write more of these.
It is amazing to me how so few words can convey such an image. It is magic.
Cat, thank you, I'm glad you think so.
